John F. Kennedy, Mahatma Gandhi, Alfed Hithcock, Leonardo da Vinci, are part of the roster selected by Montblanc to represent the great figures from history with their groundbreaking work.
The collection goes under the name of Great Charater Edition, and since December 2018 hosts a special edition dedicated to the Beatles.
As part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band album, Montblanc pays tribute to John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, as “they became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential act of the rock era”, “perceived as an embodiment of the ideas shared by the counterculture of the 1960s.“
The range, focused on rollerball fountain pen, also includes a notebook, plus refills for the rollerball and a 50 ml. ink bottle, consistently including a dedicated “Psychedelic Purple” color.
The main aesthetic references recalls the colors of the uniform The Beatles were wearing on the Sgt. Pepper’s album cover, and the moustached silhouette of the Fab Four during that period.
This Christmas launch, strictly limited, is clearly dedicated to fans and collectors, while a strong part of Montblanc’s season support goes to “The Greatest Showman” theme, more comprehensive and with a broader target.
