Drop culture: Nike ignites Space Jam 2 hype

Space Jam 2, the Warner Bros sequel where Lebron James will take over from Michael Jordan teaming with the Looney Tunes, will be on the screens all over the world by the end of July 2021, but Nike has decided to ignite the hype now, some 18 months before, unveiling on Instagram and its website some first items.

The global sneakerheads community is alerted since months, and this disclosure created buzz and rumors globally. The conversation on the web has it that although Nike does not confirm, it seems likely now that two “Space Jam” Nike LeBron 17s will be released on February 13 in occasion of the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend, then a “Toon Squad” LeBron 17 Low should be set to launch on February 15.

So, while Warner Bros. Consumer Products is working with many global partners to develop Space Jam 2 featured products in different price position segments, Nike plays the pivot role, reassuring the business community on the attention power Space Jam franchise can unleash.
