During the men’s fashion week, at WHITE, Eastpak presented its new collection “Inspired By The World of”, born from the collaboration with Uniwax, a Dutch brand which designs and produces West African Style fabrics and textiles.

Uniwax was founded in 1968 thanks to the agreement between the Ivorian State and the Dutch companies Texoprint e Unilever, with the mission to produce the “Wax” fabric [a sort of Batik but with African patterns] mainly for the internal market but also for export and to add value to the Ivorian production of cotton. Uniwax, now belonging to the Dutch Group Vlisco named for the Wax production since 1846, is one of the most wanted and renowned brand in the African market and abroad. This textile is symbol of the colonial heritage that more contributed to the change of the local habits, supporting the introduction of a fabric made for, and not by, Africans.

The limited edition Eastpak with Uniwax, designed by Harvey Bouterse and produced in Holland, sees the authentic African prints on the iconic Padded Pak’r® and will count only 300 pieces.
