The partnership between Audemars Piguet and Marvel continues. In 2021, a few weeks since the Swiss luxury brand  announced its long term license with Marvel, the Royal Oak Concept Black Panther Flying Tourbillon watch launch followed suit.

This year Audemars Piguet focusses on the most famous Marvel superhero, Spider-Man,  giving life to another craftmanship excellence in watchmaking, in an unusal pop version.

The Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Spider-Man is a limited edition that includes only 250 pieces, with a price tag of 215.000€, a true masterpiece that emphasizes every detail.

This 42 mm titanium watch has polished and satin finishes, with a distinctive feature on the outer part that surrounds the octagonal black ceramic dial, accentuated by embedded screws that enhance the design of the watch. But what truly sets this watch apart is its internal structure, where the artisans of Le Brassus have pushed the boundaries of their skills, aiming to remove as much material as possible, resulting in a unique three-dimensional effect. The transparency of the crystal gives the impression that the Spider-Man character (50 hours are needed in the making) is suspended in the void within the watch.

The video on Audemars Piguet’s website is central in this activation, with its blend of hi-tech graphics blended with Marvel comics’ pop aesthetics.

And as “with great power comes great responsibility”, Audemars Piguet has auctioned a one-of-a -kind Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Spider-Man, at the amazing price of $6.2 million, which will go to non-profit associations, First Book and Ashoka, as it did in 2021.
