Artist Daniel Arsham has given his twist to Hot Wheels die casts, creating “Future Legends”, a limited edition series of “fictional archaeologic” cars, made in a pocket-size form and available for collectors.

Future Legends is a series of 8 Hot Wheels classics, that Arsham has reimagined in his style, as they were found by archeologists in the future.

These decayed, crystallised and fossilized models, will be launched in 4 drops – called “laps” in honour of Hot Wheels track – starting with a first couple of Hot Wheels models from 1973: a whale-tailed Porsche 940 and a Rodger Dodger.

Lap One launches on October 27 on Mattel Creations website, while American fans will be able to experience this collaboration in future archaeology at the lauch event organized by Mattel at 45 Grand Street in NYC, 10012, from 12-7 PM on October 21 and 22.
