Milano Fashion Week has just passed, and the two Canadian designers opened it, as usual, and for the spring summer 2023 they brought on the catwalk a collection inspired by the legendary creative genius of Bob Marley and his passion for surfing. Designing a collection that, as Dean and Dan Caten said, want to not only represent a tribute to the Jamaican artist but also a return to lightheartedness, to the freedom and travel post pandemic.

A “cool and relaxed” collection. For this reason, Dsquared2 has decided to collaborate with the Bob Marley Foundation to create a drop of t-shirts with printed images of the great reggae artist and the words “my home is in my head”, which were worn by the designers for the final greeting on the catwalk.

A collection full of colors and stylistic references that defines, according to the brand’s imaginary, what today’s “cool kids” would look like, also picking a trend that strongly comes back from the past: the biker style. A Y2K wave that has been reintroduced by the two designers thanks to a collaboration with Honda which includes leather jackets with suede inserts, fluorescent orange t-shirts, made recognizable by the wings – red or white – of the Japanese brand.

A partnership that suggests, along with the summer mood of the show, to immediately jump on a motorcycle and drive, with maybe “sun is shining” in the background, towards the nearest beach.
