On the occasion of the Japan Tour 2023, Inter Milan flew to Japan to face two friendly matches against Al Nassr in Osaka and Paris Saint Germain in Tokyo, and to strengthen the bond with the local fans, the Nerazzurri team has embarked on an unprecedented collaboration with a manga – Blue Lock.

This manga, written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, combines a passion for soccer with the story of protagonist Isagi Yoichi who, with his determination, faces challenges within the Blue Lock to become the best striker of all time and lead the Japanese national team to World Cup victory.

The partnership between the Inter Milan and Blue Lock has launched on social media through dedicated illustrations of the manga’s main characters sporting Inter Milan’s uniform. A move which generated immediate enthusiasm, especially for a wider audience than the team’s fans, thanks also to the introduction of a new graphic identity inspired by the manga – Inter x Blue Lock, on the jerseys used by the team during the matches played.

The team also participated in a special event, where Inter Milan player Nicolò Barella met with Blue Lock authors, giving them a jersey personalized with their names.
