Kidrobot continues the celebrations of the artists who inspired the 20th century with a vinyl toy dedicated to Frida Kahlo and her art, a collaboration which consecrates Frida as a pop icon.

Frida Kahlo’s style and creativity, but mainly her persona, have inspired many brands who have celebrated this artist over the years, such us Frida Kahlo for Barbie, or Vans, Moleskine, or Camaïeu.

Unlike Kidrobot’s previous artistic collabs using the art and designs of Jean Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, Frida Kahlo’s most famous portrait is actually superseding the vinyl toy, just like Barbie represented Frieda Khalo as a doll.

The 5’’ Dunny portrays Frida with her eyes closed, in a typical and elegant Mexican dress, with her classic floral headdress, golden earrings and a bead necklace around her neck, and a paintbrush dipped in red paint in her hands.

This is a very limited edition of 600 pieces, available at kidrobot.com website. The collection includes two other vinyl toys inspired by two famous works by Frida: a second self-portrait of the artist and her masterpiece Te Amo.
