After its collaboration with André Saraiva, Longchamp pushes the boundaries of its artsy connections with a brave new range designed with Toilet Paper, the art magazine (art collective?) founded by artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari.

The signature Longchamp bag – Le Pliage – has been reinterpreted by the two artists, who added their colourful versions of French icons to Longchamp brand motifs. This five designs collection features the well-known galloping horse, flying here on a blue sky, while a baguette-and-skull image pairs with a dog smoking a pipe, and the banana Cattelan adores is the protagonist of probably the most bold design.

“For this collaboration with Longchamp, we wanted to play with the codes of French icons and of the Maison so that they became alive again” says Pierpaolo Ferrari “Each image can be seen from multiple different points of view – there isn’t just one message.”

The range will be officially launched on 12th July at the Longchamp store of Regent Street, London
