Keeping up with CES in Las Vegas, “the world’s most powerful tech event” year after year, means keeping up with the tech zeitgeist. First it was the Internet of Things, then wearables, and after the pandemic shutdown, the latest editions have all been AI-centric.

But in the midst of all the bravado, online magazine Yanko Design has just alerted its readers to a tidbit they found at the recent CES 2024, somehow hidden between flying cars and A.I. assistants, that we are sure will please ours – Minions routers.

These two 3D Minion-shaped routers are manufactured by Davolink, a Korean company specialising in multimedia convergence and wireless LAN systems, under its Smart Air range of routers.
Kevin and Bob are faithfully recreated to turn a piece of home technology into a pop piece of design, while maintaining the Smart Air’s high technical specs – dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity for Bob, and 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz tri-band for Kevin, whose hair also serves as an antenna.

Thanks to Sarang Sheth of Yanko Design for spotting this licensed treat, a rarity in the tech accessory market.
