Nespresso returns with a sustainable project in partnership with Zéta. After the limited edition made with Caran D’Ache, he relies on a young French start-up of sustainable sneakers. The collaboration, called Re:Ground, was born from the desire to create a sustainable and innovative product, a symbol – and a reference – of the zero-waste tenets of the new generations. “My vision for Zèta was to create stylish sneakers for eco-conscious fashion lovers”. Says Laure Babin, CEO of Zéta.

The Re:Ground shoes were made thanks to the coffee grounds provided by Nespresso, each pair contains in fact 12 cups (of coffee grounds) coming from the recycling program of Nespresso capsules . “For this capsule collection, our fabric creators at Tintex spent eight months perfecting an innovative vegan faux-leather made using recycled coffee grounds. RE:GROUND is the embodiment of our collaboration with Nespresso – a chic and stylish shoe that celebrates the value of coffee and the virtue of circularity.”

The sole of the model is available in three colors (Ristretto, Cappuccino and Latte) and fully represents the eco-friendly careful approach towards which the world is moving, to emphasize how nowdays sustainability is not just a trend or a choice, but also the most experimental component of an increasingly growing market in fashion.

Guillaume Le Cunff, CEO of Nespresso, said: “Zèta is an incredible start-up that brings together style and sustainability. The brand’s commitment to circularity means they are pushing the envelope in terms of creating new value from waste”.
