Neymar Jr and Puma are back together for a capsule collection that pays homage to the Brazilian footballer’s hometown of São Paulo and his exuberant spirit. The partnership, started in 2020 on the expiration of a very long contract (15 years) with Nike, takes inspiration from the colours of Brazilian land and in particular from local street art, with additional references to the football player’s tattoos – especially the three birds’s tattoo on the left side of his neck.

“Since joining Puma, they have been bringing a lot of my personality into the collections,” explained Neymar in a press release. “They are authentic pieces, with cheerful colours and references from my daily life, such as tattoos. This tropical collection was also created to remind me a little of the atmosphere of Brazil and who I am as a person.”

The collection, released less than two months before the next 2022 World Cup (probably his last, as he declared), consists of t-shirts, sweatshirts and caps but also technical and sports clothing, a soccer ball included of course, for a recognizable and comfy style both on and off the football field.
