Octopus is an Italian concept brand founded in 2012 by premium streetwear label IUTER. The “Octopus” was a groundbreaking graphic, originally released in 2005 by renowned designer Giorgio Di Salvo for VNGRD, which in 2012 Iuter decided to spin-off creating Octopus Brand, based on the iconic motif. Since then, Octopus Brand has released many licensed limited editions, collaborating with pop franchises like Rick & Morty or Spongebob.

Today, Octopus Brand launches a limited edition capsule collection to celebrate Space Jam: A New Legacy, the sequel to the film released 25 years ago that returns to the cinema in July, featuring Looney Tunes and Lebron James, number 6 of the Los Angeles Lakers and taking over Michael Jordan.

The Octopus x Space Jam: A New Legacy is very narrow, and includes just ten items like short-sleeved shirts and bucket hats with prints all-over, t-shirts, sweatshirts, pants and keychain. The rarest and most interesting piece is the Stadium Jacket, with leather sleeves, embroidery and terry patches that give it a retro aesthetic.

This limited edition is dropping in very limited quantities: fewer than 100 pieces of sweatshirts and t-shirts, while sweaters and jackets are less than 50 pieces.

To celebrate this collaboration, a series of activations were organized such as an advertising campaign that dressed some historic trams in Milan and the main launch event at the streetwear mecca One Block Down store in Milan.
