After several social media hints, the capsule collection curated by the Belgian-Dutch Formula 1 driver for G-Star Raw has finally been presented.
The denim brand has just launched the six limited-edition styles capsule – MAX RAW – that includes the Radar jeans in an updated fit, with thick embroidered pocket arches, a jersey t-shirt, a zipped hoodie, a Max Core graphic sweatshirt and the XPO Badge overshirt, all available on Verstappenshop.nl and in G-Star stores.
The range combines G-Star’s denim culture with Verstappen’s laid-back style. The collaboration is marked by the emblematic “X”, symbolizing the convergence of the two brands with similar roots and alikeness in the desire to continuously push the boundaries.
Known for its military influenced urban style, and its untreated and unwashed “raw” denim, the Dutch clothing company is no new to collaborations.
In 2014, eclectic artist, entrepreneur, and fashion designer Pharrell Williams – who has a strong business instinct and an addiction to successful collaborations – announced the partnership between G-Star Raw and his textile company Bionic Yarn called “RAW for the Oceans,” which soon lead him to become also co-owner of the label.
In 2018 G-Star Raw succeed with an other “green” collaboration cured by artist Jaden Smith, and this new collaboration with Max Verstappen it’s just and other evidence of the brand constant focus on trends an innovation.
