HEAD, the leading global manufacturer and marketer of premium sports equipment and apparel, is heading ISPO outdoor show in Munich showing its licensing muscles, announcing two new partners to HEAD brand extension program.
Up Town Sport, Inc. has been licensed by HEAD Sport GmbH in a multi-year agreement to design, manufacture and distribute an extensive collection of HEAD Golf branded apparel in North America and the Caribbean. Up Town Sport will embroider, ship, and service the HEAD product from their facilities in nearby Westchester County, NY. This will provide quick turnaround times and an unparalleled level of service to their customers via an experienced office staff along with a Nationwide team of veteran golf sales representatives. These collections will be premium priced, launching October 2019, and will include Polo’s, 1/4Zips, Golf Outerwear, Sweaters and Shorts.
The Italian company Garsport has been instead appointed HEAD licensee for outdoor and trekking footwear using the licensed trademark “SAN MARCO”. San Marco has been for many years, especially in the 90s, one of the leading brands for hiking and trekking footwear, and the iconic Swing model has signed a very important mark in the history of hiking footwear research and development.
Garsport will be supported in this partnership with HEAD by an external team of business specialists, with great experience and knowledge in the trekking and outdoor market, who will work in conjunction with the company for the product development, but also on marketing topics. This will allow the brand San Marco to be re-launched successfully into the market.
The relaunch of the San Marco footwear program will be initially involving the Italian market, and then step by step will be covering more other European markets. First products will be expected to be in the market this autumn.
To promote the former and these two new brand extension partners, HEAD will work with an influencer program in collaboration with M Style of New York. Known for its work in sports, entertainment and consumer products, M Style is engaged to support HEAD licensees to push into social media, working with each licensee who has been enrolled to develop a customized influencer program to leverage its followers and to drive brand impressions, product awareness and sales.
