Victoria and Albert Museum with Cote d’Or in China

Victoria and Albert Museum is collaborating with Belgian chocolate brand Cote d’Or (part of Mondelez Group) with a series of series of limited-edition dark cocoa chocolate gift boxes in the Chinese market.

Released earlier this year, the first two designs were inspired by details of a mid-19th century English furnishing fabric from the V&A’s textile collection, featuring rampant lions and regal crowns to complement Cote d’Or’s royal origins as designated chocolate supplier to the Royal Family of Belgium.

The Lion Gift Box was available to purchase online at Tmall’s official flagship store, whilst the Rose Gift Box was available for offline purchase. Both gift sets saw hungry demand, selling out fast, and will be followed by further limited-edition boxes in the summer.

The deal is managed by the V&A’s master licensee in China, Alfilo Brands.
